One does not simply contact ASD; but when an envoy of one of the seven Great Houses of Defense contact you, humble words of surprise are invoked, mainly because a lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep.

In short, things seem to be moving forward for the team with internal reviews and I personally don't envy the team as writing such a large compliance document via committee is probably more difficult and discussing terms with Free Folk.

In short, here's a bit of what a member of the team had to say in an email to me on the 5th February:

... [The ISM2015 is] still in the drafting stage and we're hurriedly working to have a publication ready for our next release. [A release date] will also depend on how far in advance we can finalise the text before the publication date, as you can imagine, it's quite an iterative process with lots of discussion, drafts and revisions. However, I will try and think about if we can provide some other format a bit earlier.

I'm keen to see new guidance in line with new challenges in the security space with revisions on existing concepts (you know my thoughts on Control 1353) and a more refined document in general, which helps the all too common resource-poor Agency move their cyber defenses behind The Wall. Besides once you've accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you.

Only a matter of time will tell...
